Top 5 Wednesday: Books You'd Like To See As Tv Shows

Hey guys! Here's another meme I want to start on my blog! I know this is supposed to be for Youtube; but I decided to switch it up a bit! YAY!!

Now I See You: A MemoirNow I See You By Nicole C. Kear

Goodreads

What It's About:
At nineteen years old, Nicole C. Kear's biggest concern is choosing a major--until she walks into a doctor’s office in midtown Manhattan and gets a life-changing diagnosis. She is going blind, courtesy of an eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa, and has only a decade or so before Lights Out. Instead of making preparations as the doctor suggests, Kear decides to carpe diem and make the most of the vision she has left. She joins circus school, tears through boyfriends, travels the world, and through all these hi-jinks, she keeps her vision loss a secret.

When Kear becomes a mother, just a few years shy of her vision’s expiration date, she amends her carpe diem strategy, giving up recklessness in order to relish every moment with her kids. Her secret, though, is harder to surrender - and as her vision deteriorates, harder to keep hidden. As her world grows blurred, one thing becomes clear: no matter how hard she fights, she won’t win the battle against blindness. But if she comes clean with her secret, and comes to terms with the loss, she can still win her happy ending.

Why:
This book is freakin' good! Nicole is such a real and easy to connect with person. I think that this book honestly would be better as a tv show then a book. The best thing is; this book is a memoir. Meaning that when the writers want to add more (they always do) they can just ask Nicole what she didn't put in the book!

Each episode could be a different experance she had, and over the seasons they could show character development (just like the book).

Not in the Script (If Only . . . #3)Not In The Script By Amy Finnegan

Goodreads

What It's About:
Millions of people witnessed Emma Taylor’s first kiss—a kiss that needed twelve takes and four camera angles to get right. After spending years performing on cue, Emma can’t help but wonder if any part of her life is real anymore . . . particularly her romances. She’s been burned by heartthrobs (and the press) one too many times, but there’s something about Emma’s co-star on her new TV show Coyote Hills that is irresistible.Jake Elliott is gorgeous, smart and actually cares about Emma’s charitable foundation. But she’s sworn off on-set relationships. They always end badly . . . don’t they?

Why:
There are some tv shows about acting, and Hollywood; but definetley not enough! Maybe this tv show doesn't have to be exactly like to book. But I just want a tv show ''like'' the book. I enjoyed this book A LOT because I'm in the film industry; making it somewhat relateable. I'm just saying; there should be some tv shows about behind the scenes of Hollywood! But I'm not talking about documentaries or Kim K. I'm talking about an actress playing a different ''fake'' actress. Doess that make any sense?

Dork Diaries 4: Tales from a Not-So-Graceful Ice PrincessDork Diaries By Rachel Renee Russel

Goodreads

What It's About:
New school. New mean girl. New crush. New diary so I can spill about all of it…I put a lot of really personal stuff in this diary along with my sketches and doodles.  But, mostly it’s about how TRAUMATIC it was transferring to my new private middle school, Westchester Country Day. And, how a lot of the CCP (Cool, Cute & Popular) kids were really SNOBBY and made my life TOTALLY miserable. People like, oh, I don’t know, maybe… MACKENZIE HOLLISTER!! And, it just so happened that I got stuck with a locker right next to hers. I could NOT believe I had such CRAPPY luck. I knew right then and there it was going to be a VERY, VERY long school year :-( !
Why:
Okay, this is not a tv show I would watch. At all. But I think this series would be a good Disney/Nickelodian show targeted at 8-11 year olds.
Jake and LilyJake & Lily By Jerry Spinelli

Goodreads

What It's About:
This is a story about me, Lily.
And me, Jake.
We're twins and we're exactly alike.
Not exactly!
Whatever. This is a book we wrote about the summer we turned eleven and Jake ditched me.
Please. I just started hanging out with some guys in the neighborhood.
Right. So anyway, this is a book about
goobers and supergoobers

bullies
clubhouses
true friends

things getting built and wrecked and rebuilt
and about figuring out who we are.
We wrote this together
(sort of)
so you'll get to see both sides of our story.
But you'll probably agree with my side.
You always have to have the last word, don't you?
Yes!

Why:
This would be a very good tv show, for teens or tweens maybe. Showing how tjese two twins grew up together. Through fights, through happy days etc.

The Reading Promise: My Father and the Books We SharedThe Reading Promise By Alice Ozma

Goodreads

What It's About:
When Alice Ozma was in 4th grade, she and her father decided to see if he could read aloud to her for 100 consecutive nights. On the hundreth night, they shared pancakes to celebrate, but it soon became evident that neither wanted to let go of their storytelling ritual. So they decided to continue what they called "The Streak." Alice's father read aloud to her every night without fail until the day she left for college.

Alice approaches her book as a series of vignettes about her relationship with her father and the life lessons learned from the books he read to her.

Why:
This book is so cute and adorable. I think it would be a good growing up tv show. But I am kinda scared that it would sometimes be boring live action. But hopefully not!
